Oaklands School 50th Jubilee

On labour day 2014 Oaklands school had its 50th jubilee.And thats makes the school 50 years old,the school has changed allot over the years.50 years ago,in 1964 almost everything was different.There used to only be 7 classes and 240 children,and now we have 25 classes and 580 children.Also we used to have 9 staff but now we have 27 teaching staff.

UNIFORM
Back in 1964 the school uniform was very different,back then the boy's wore a white t-shirt and a tie,green shorts or pants.The girls had a white t-shirt and green gym frocks.But thats only the first uniform,because the second was not even a uniform you could wear whatever you wanted.Then it came to what we have now. boy's have a red t-shirt that has oaklands written in green,green shorts or pants.girls wear the same red shirt and have a green skirt,shorts or pants.And both wear green polarfleeces and green hats.The two hat types are bucket hat and brim hat.


IN ANOTHER 50 YEARS

In 50 years time we may not even have to go to school,we may only have to pull up a holographic screen at home and have the teachers send us work while we are doing what we normally do at home as well as our school work.

100 WC prompts Green Cat Broken Swimming Lifted

There was a green cat.He lived in a big brown box beside a broken swimming pool.One day the cat decided to go for a walk.So he left the pool and went outside.He saw a playground in the distance and he ran all the way there.It was a big rusty old playground,it looked ancient.The green cat jumped onto a seesaw but it just fell apart.Then suddenly a mysterious light lifted him into the sky.The light gave him magical powers and he could now speak English.Once he had fallen back down to earth he walked back home only to find it was surrounded by people"why are you here"asked the the cat but instead of answering him they all ran away screaming.He was confused by what happened so he went over to his box and fell asleep.

100 word challenge week 8

it was the year 1002.There was a great necromancer named Zanlin who was terribly evil.Everybody hated and feared him until a Mage named Jurgan Windcaller came.He was a light mage and with a warrior named Jack the dragon slayer they destroyed Zanlin the dark necromancer and turned him to stone.

They thought that was the end but it wasent because 1012 years later it all happened again.A marshal was examining the statue like Zanlin when he started glowing.And he turned back to normal and took over the world.Before long the two heros defeated Zanlin once more.

Mr Lindens Library

Amanda was an average person with short brown hair. Her life was pretty normal,normal house,normal job and a reasnibly normal family and she worked at a supermarket in the city centre. In her spare time she would go to the library and get some books out.Today wasn't a very good day for her.

She lost her job because the supermarket that she worked at somehow went up in flames. And it would only get worse. So to make herself feel better,that afternoon she went to the library. On her way there she ran into the library's owner Mr Linden ." Amanda please try to remember what I'm about to tell you,please DO NOT read the book at the end of the ninth shelf ,I'm sorry but I have to go now"warned Mr Linden as he ran down the street. I wonder what that was all about.amanda thought to herself. And she continued walking to the library. Once she was inside the library a librarian asked her what she was going to get . So Amanda replied " I'll just be getting two books ".then she walked away. First  she walked over to the second shelf and picked out a book called the adventures of the giraffe king. Next she walked to the ninth shelf and spotted a book with a pale fleshy cover she looked closer and noticed it had no title " weird " questioned Amanda. Then she took the two books over to the librarian and said "I'll get these two."

Amanda walked home after she left the library. Once she got home she went to bed and read the untitled book. She opened it to find there was no writing. In confusion she skimmed through the pages untill leaves and vines and even a flower began growing out of the centre of the book. The vines aggressively lached onto her neck and the flower opened and spraied a green dust at her and she fell asleep.

Then she woke up but was still asleep....

My Information Report Of The History Of The Crusaders

As most people know the Crusaders are Christchurch's rugby team.

And they are very important to the people of Christchurch.

When they play in Christchurch they play at ami stadium and

they win 90% of there games.At the moment the teams 

captain is Kieran Read.

The Crusaders were assembled in1996 when Canterbury found 

themselves at a low rugby ebb.And thier uniform is red and black.

While the union (NewZealands oldest dating back to 1879) was made

the home base for the Crusaders rugby franchise.Also incorporating 

The top half of the South Island 

In five years the Crusaders went from being a largely non-Allblack 

environment to having all but one Allblack.

Now the Crusaders are one of NewZealands best super rugby

teams.And the star players are:The captain Kieran Read,Dan Carter,

Richie McCaw and Namani Nadolo.

The Crusaders have own five super 12 games (1998,1999,2000,2002,

 2005)and they also won the first super 14 game in 2006 and another 

in 2008.

STEPS

1.We had to choose a culture that one of our perants are from or the culture we were born in.

I chose NewZealand and the tuatara I choose the tuatara because it is the native lizard

and it has being around since the dinosaurs.

2.Then we learnt about Andy Warhol  and his famous.

Pop-art is when you take an icon or a famous person and

copy them down four times on a A2 peace of paper.

3. After that we learnt about the colour wheel and the different 

colours on it like:

PRIMARY COLOURS-Red,blue and yellow.

SECONDARY COLOURS-Made by mixing any two

of the primary colours .

COMPLEMENTARY COLOURS-Colours that are opposite

the primary colour on the colour wheel.

ANALOGOUS COLOURS-Three colours that are side by side on the 

colour wheel.

MONOCHROME COLOURS Three shades of one colour.

I chose Complementary-Blue and orange.

Analogous-Purple,blue and green.

Black and white.

Monochrome-green

To finish off I will add detail in black

I think I did well with the colours I chose.
